Day 1 : Nairobi - Masai Mara
After departing from Nairobi, you’ll enjoy a scenic 6-hour drive with some spectacular views of the Great Rift Valley. Lunch en route to arrive at the camp early afternoon.
Upon arrival you’ll be taken on a guided visit to one of the Masai tribes. This is an immersive cultural experience where you’ll meet the locals in a traditional boma setting.
Learn about pastoral life, listen to the famous chanting, and join in with the Masai jumping dance if you’re feeling energetic. The women will show you their colourful beadwork and you’ll have the chance to buy some souvenir jewellery if you wish. Diner and overnight stay at a camp.
Day 2 & 3 : Masa Mara
Spend 2 days exploring this magical reserve; the itinerary is flexible and you can discuss with your guide on the previous evening and plan for the 2 days schedule. You can either have a relaxed breakfast and depart for full day game drives around 9:00 AM with packed lunch and return back to camp late afternoon around 6:00 PM. Or you can depart at 6:00 AM on an early morning game drive (This is the best time to see the animals and a good chance to witness hunt/kill). Later return to accommodation for breakfast and relax for a bit and depart on an afternoon game drive with packed lunch. you will stop at a picnic spot for having packed lunch and later depart on a game drive till the park is closed. Around 6:00 PM return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4 : Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru
Early morning game drive at the reserve and then return to camp for breakfast. Departure from the reserve typically takes place around 10 AM to avoid incurring additional day entry fees. As you journey to Nakuru town, to arrive in the evening, lunch en route. Diner and overnight stay at a a budget hotel in Nakuru town.
Day 5 : Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha
After early breakfast, proceed for morning game drives in Lake Nakuru National park and continue till around noon. Post lunch, proceed to Lake Naivasha accommodation for dinner and overnight at your camp.
Day 6 : Lake Naivasha - Amboseli
After breakfast, proceed to Lake Naivasha for a boat ride to Crescent Island where you will be doing a nature walk next to zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, waterbucks, antelopes and many types of birds. Depart and travel to Amboseli to arrive in the evening; lunch en route. Diner and overnight stay at a camp.
Day 7 : Amboseli
After breakfast, depart for morning game drives around 7:00 AM and continue till about 10:30 AM. Return back to lodge to relax and have lunch and then in the afternoon around 3:00 PM proceed for afternoon game drives for 3 hours and return to camp before 6:30 PM.
Day 8 : Amboseli - Nairobi
Wake up early in the morning and proceed to Amboseli for game drives around 6:15 AM. Continue with game drives till around 9:00 AM and then head back to camp for breakfast. After breakfast, check out from lodge and proceed to Nairobi to reach by around 3:00 PM.
